Why Smart Irrigation?

Smart irrigation helps in efficient water usage, healthier crops, and reduces manual effort. It uses real-time soil moisture data to water plants only when needed.

Conserve Water

Avoids unnecessary watering and saves water resources.

Healthier Plants

Maintains optimal soil moisture for better growth.

Less Manual Work

Automatic monitoring and irrigation control.

Scalable Solution

Can be used in farms, gardens, and smart agriculture systems.

Embedded Hardware Architecture

Project Overview

An affordable smart irrigation system that monitors soil moisture and automatically waters plants when the soil becomes too dry.

How It Works

From sensing soil moisture to automatically watering your plants, our system works in a simple and efficient way.

1. Sense

Soil moisture sensor measures the moisture level in the soil.

2. Convert

ADS1115 converts the analog signal to digital data.

3. Process

Raspberry Pi runs a Python program to analyze the data.

4. Control

Relay module switches the pump ON or OFF.

5. Irrigate

5V DC water pump delivers water when needed.

Different Crops, Different Needs

Each crop has different soil moisture requirements. Smart irrigation helps maintain the right moisture level for better growth and higher yield.

Tomato

Tomato

50% - 70% moisture
Lettuce

Lettuce

60% - 80% moisture
Chili

Chili

60% - 70% moisture
Cucumber

Cucumber

60% - 75% moisture
Spinach

Spinach

60% - 80% moisture
